PENNANT

Pennant is a league format of bowls played at clubs across Australia. 

                               
Ballarat Pennant

Each week, 24  clubs and close to 1500 players go head-to-head in various divisions around Ballarat and surrounds. The 18-week season runs from October to March each year and comprises of Saturday (1pm rollup for 1:15pm start) and Monday (10am rollup for 10:15am start) competitions.

Premier Division is the pinnacle of the competition, with Division 1-8 (Sat) and Division 1-4 (Mon) under this.
The Premier Division winner and Division One winner progress to Champion of State Pennant, which is contested at Moama Bowls Club in May each year which sees Metro and Regional winners gather to vie for the prestigious state title.

City Oval Pennant

City Oval has Division 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 in the Saturday competition and Premier, Division 1, 2 and 3 in the Monday competition. With over 120 playing members there is tight competition for places.

Our greens are open from 11 am Tuesday to Friday for practice with Wednesday from 4pm designated training night for pennant players. The Club has qualified coaches to assist those new to the game or in need of refinement to their game.

Players also participate in State Championships, Local Tournaments and Club Championships over the season
